Maintenance Tips
Proper maintenance will extend the life of your Oubonun Premium Adjustable Loft Quilted Body Pillows and ensure they perform at their best for your Massachusetts home.
- Regular Fluffing: Fluff the body pillows regularly by shaking or kneading them. This helps maintain the down alternative fill’s shape and loft, ensuring consistent comfort and support.
- Adjusting the Loft: If the pillows begin to lose their shape or support, adjust the loft by adding or removing fill to restore the desired thickness and firmness. This helps extend the life of the pillows and ensures they continue to meet your needs.
- Spot Cleaning: If the pillows need cleaning, spot clean them with a damp cloth and a mild soap and water solution. Avoid submerging the pillows in water, as this can damage the fill and affect their shape and support.
- Cover Care: If the quality plush materials are removable and machine washable, wash them regularly in a washing machine using cold or warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid using harsh chemicals or high heat, as these can damage the fabric.
- Drying: If the covers are machine washable, tumble dry them on low heat or air dry them. Avoid using high heat, as this can damage the fabric and cause shrinking. If the pillows themselves get wet, air dry them thoroughly in a well-ventilated area.
- Storage: When not in use, store the body pillows in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. This helps prevent damage to the fabric and fill. Consider using a breathable storage bag to protect the pillows from dust and debris.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Pillows Losing Shape: If the body pillows begin to lose their shape or fluffiness, try fluffing them regularly by shaking or kneading them. If the pillows still do not regain their shape, you may need to adjust the loft by adding or removing fill to restore the desired thickness and firmness.
- Pillows Not Providing Enough Support: If the body pillows are not providing enough support, check the down alternative fill to ensure it is evenly distributed. If the pillows are still not supportive enough, consider adding more fill or using additional pillows for your specific needs.
- Fabric Pilling: If the quality plush materials begin to pill over time, this is typically a sign of wear and tear. To reduce pilling, wash the covers inside out and avoid using harsh detergents or high heat in the dryer.
- Fading: If the fabric begins to fade, this may be due to exposure to sunlight or harsh detergents. To prevent fading, wash the covers in cold water and avoid using bleach or fabric softeners.
- Odors: If the body pillows develop odors over time, try spot cleaning them with a mild soap and water solution or using a fabric refresher spray. Avoid using harsh chemicals or strong fragrances, as these can damage the fabric and fill. To prevent odors, ensure the pillows are thoroughly dried after any cleaning.
